The Choice for Manhood

1 Corinthians 16:13-14 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 14 Let all that you do be done in love.

(NIV) Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. 14 Do everything in love.

1. Be Manly

1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.

2. Be Watchful 

1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

2 Samuel 11:1 In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.

3. Be Firm 

2 Samuel 23:12 But Shammah took his stand in the middle of the field. He defended it and struck the Philistines down, and the Lord brought about a great victory.

4. Be Strong 

1 Timothy 4:8 for physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

5. Be Loving 

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

2. Celebrate or Settle with personal fathers

3. Serve with your own mission

4. Secure a Band of Brothers

5. Select Some Mentors 

6. Share it with Those Coming Behind You.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
