Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

Ephesians 6:1-3 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), 3 “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”

Proverbs 23:22 Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.

Hebrews 12:9 Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live?

1 Timothy 5:4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.

Luke 2:51-52 And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was submissive to them. And his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.
