God tells us to love him and others and share the gospel. While there are many ways to follow these commands, here are a few ideas.

Family

  • Pray together before meals.
  • Read the Bible together daily.
  • Attend Sunday Church weekly as a family.
  • Pray in your car with you child/children before dropping them off at school.
  • Ask your child what they learned in Sunday School and look at their craft(s). Ask follow-up questions with the purpose of them explaining what their lesson.
  • Designate one hour of uninterrupted, intentional time with your family (no phone, TV, or books; just you and the family doing something together).

Neighbors

  • Do you know your neighbors? If not, knock on their doors and introduce yourself. Give them a baked good. Start with one or two houses and continue as your confidence grows. Take someone with you if security is a concern. Continue to develop these relationships and really get to know them.
  • Invite them for lunch or dinner. Bless the meal.
  • Host a cookout for your block using a sporting event or holiday as the purpose.
  • Offer to help them when needed and involve your church family depending on the need. For example, mow their lawn.
  • When a chance presents itself, share your belief in Jesus and invite them to church.
  • Pray for your neighbors daily.

Community

  • Pray for your coworkers daily.
  • Take an extra shift for a coworker who needs time off.
  • Volunteer at an organization to help others (e.g., food pantry, nursing home).
  • Attend an outreach event through C4.
  • Pay for someone else's meal when eating out.
  • Also, bless your food when eating out, so others can see your example.
  • Take a foreign mission trip. There is so much need in the world and so many organizations that want volunteers. C4 supports Jim and Teri Riley in Honduras, so that is an option. If you have specific interests, talk to Steve or Eddie for guidance.
